Having Some "Summer Fun"

Hello! It's Heather here today to share my first layout using the oh-so fabulous "Summer Fun" kit. There are awesome products in this kit - sunny Cocoa Vanilla papers, twines, very cool metal dots, a kraft bag and tag, a stencil and, drumroll please........ brand new Tinby Designs Colour Crush! These have only been released for this kit at the moment and are AWESOME! You will see me using these a lot I am sure!

Hello gorgeous Scrappy Chat peeps! Fiona here with you today to share with you my favourite layout I've created so far with the latest "Summer Fun" kit. I had an absolute blast playing with the Tinby Designs new Color Crush Powders!

My tutorial shows you how I achieved this fabulous color burst background! This is such an awesome kit to kick off summer with. I hope you grab yourself one before they are all gone!

Love is in the air with Beck BT

Hello Scrappy Chat peeps! So finally as my last layout from the "Enchanted Garden" kit, I give you girly! and lots of it! This is my butterfly explosion ...... have I mentioned that I Loooooove butterfly's? Any opportunity to add a butterfly and I will!

Well this creation ended up being more butterfly's than expected! but I absolutely love the end result (even with the scissor cramp!)

A Quick Card Tutorial

Hello and Welcome to Scrappy Chat Designs! It's Heather with you today with a share on how to create a card. I made this with my Enchanted Garden kit. This kit is AWESOME! It has gorgeous papers, a full-sized stencil, some Shimmerz Creameez, stunning small flowers, twine and more.

Scrappy Chat Designs members receive Tech Sheets showing how to make many of the projects the Design Team creates, but I had so much fun with this one that I thought I'd share it with everybody!

Firstly, here's the card:

See those flecks of gold? I bet you can't work out how I made those!

Here are the instructions for making the card. All of the products listed here are in the kit unless stated otherwise.

Step 1

Cut your white cardstock to be a little smaller than the black card base. Put the card base aside for now.

Step 2

Apply some of your own texture paste roughly through the stencil, keeping away from the right side corners. 

Step 3

Mix a little water with the Shimmers Creameez and apply randomly over the texture paste with a brush.

Step 4

When dry, highlight a few of the triangles with a black pen. Add some cotton thread from your stash by just scrunching it up and sitting it roughly over the coloured area.

Step 5

Cut some flowers and leaves from the 'Darling' paper and adhere to the left side. Splatter Creameez over the top with a brush. Cut a triangle shape from the 'Darling' paper and a butterfly from the 'Frilly' paper and ink the edges.

Step 6

Ink the edges of one of the butterfly stickers and adhere the two butterflies on the triangle. Place the triangle on the left as shown and trim the part that extends beyond the edge. Trim the sentiment from the 'Frilly' paper, ink the edges and adhere in place.

Step 7

Take two of the small plastic flowers - and cut them into tiny pieces! Glue the pieces randomly around the card for some cool sparkle. Adhere your work to the black card base and you're done!

And there you have it! So far, I've made two layouts and a card from this kit and I still have heaps of product left!

You're So Special

Hello gorgeous Scrappy Chat friends. I am here to share with you my first creation from the beautiful "Enchanted Garden" kit. This layout is a very simple creation for you all to explore. I wanted to demonstrate that even though papers may appear to be feminine, they can in actual fact be altered to suit a more masculine design. 

Simply add grunge! Some grey paint, a few black paint splatters and a grungy black border on a neutral background piece and you've got yourself a boy layout!

Friends Forever

Hello there are welcome back to Scrappy Chat Designs! It's Heather with you today showing you a layout I made using the drop-dead gorgeous "Enchanted Garden" kit. I love this one! It has some yummy Kaisercraft papers, a fabulous stencil, cool blingy bits, string, some Shimmerz and more!

I like this style of layout - it's not terribly difficult to make and can be adapted to suit all kinds of subjects.

Enchanted Garden Kit release

This month's kit is called 'Enchanted Garden' a versatile kit with stunning papers to create beautiful pages with!  We have a selection of on trend products in this kit once again sure to inspire you!  This month we have Fiona Paltridge sharing her take on this kit and exploring the products in the kit.

 This kit features some really fun products, aside from the divine papers by 'Kaisercraft', ther is cardstock, Shimmerz Inklingz, stickers, a full 12 x 12 stencil as well as a number of fun items to embellish with.  

Oh and because Beck just LOVES twine, there is some of that in there once again too!   Fiona has been busy creating very different style layouts to share you lots of new techniques to have a go with the help of 3 videos of course!  As you can see another kit jam packed for you to learn and get creative with and Fiona along with the very talented Arty Chic's will show you how!   

As said Fiona will take you through using the product along with some staple items in your stash to make the 3 stunning layouts you can see in the graphic.  So get your willingness to learn as you create three different layouts with the help of THREE videos.  You are sure to nail all the techniques for each layout that don't have a view by date - you get to watch them forever if you wish!
