Two In One

Hi there. It's Heather back today with my last layout using the Rustic Goodness kit for Scrappy Chat Designs. I've had so much fun with this kit!

Here's what I created.

The inspiration for this layout came from the wonderful Media Crackle Paste. I wondered what would happen if I treated it like gesso and not crackle paste! I applied it over strips of paper but didn't wait for it to dry. I flicked inks and spayed water on it while it was wet. The result was that the Dylusions sprays melted into it giving it a cool watercolour effect. Lindy's sprays also melted into it while Heidi Swapp Color Shine sprays sat on top - which is good or not, depending on what effect you're after!

By the way, the paste still crackled but much less than it normally would have.

For the red sections of the title, I put the letter stickers on a the bar code strip I had cut off one of the sheets of cardstock and sprayed it with Dylusions. I then pulled off the stickers and used an eraser to rub off the residue, which left the white cardstock showing through underneath.

I hope you've enjoyed seeing what the team have come up with using the Rustic Goodness kit.

Kits are still $39 plus postage and are great value for money as they're like doing three classes in your own home. They are self-paced class classes that you can complete on your own or with a group of friends

Each month there will be LOADS of added inspiration with one of the designers creating 3 layouts of their own style with the kit while the other two ladies will be sharing some added techniques using the product in the kit, so you can learn more and more!

Each premier kit:
  • comes with video AND instructions to complete the three layouts
  • features many techniques with product to be used well after the life of the kit.  (With all of our kits you will have plenty of product and knowledge to add to future projects)
  • comes with photos of each project including close up detailed pictures
  • comes with all the product needed to complete the projects with a list of additional basic items used such as ink/ paints/gesso/texture paste and colour sprays you might need out of your supplies.
The kits focus on how to use various products teamed up with some stunning papers to compliment them. There are always less- or non-consumable products in our kits to help you complete some beautiful projects and learn many techniques and different ways of using the products.
