Divine share by Anguree

Hello again Scrappy Chatters It's Anguree joining you again for another layout from the Rough and Ready kit. Today I'm going to share a technique I've been wanting to try for quite some time. Those of  you who know Stephanie Papin's work, will know that this layout was inspired by her. She is definitely on my favourite scrappers list, so do check out her blog HERE  This inspired the overall feel of the layout.

I'm going to share a fun technique with the washi tape in the kit.

Create a flower from your washi tape following the following instructions: There are many ways to create washi roses, but I really liked this technique by Sweettutorials, I found  on You Tube. Here's the link to see more
Cut approximately 12 inches of washi tape and adhere to a table, tucking in the ends so it sticks to the surface. Add another piece on the sticky side, and try to keep it as straight as possible.

Hold a small piece in your hand and fold the washi towards you.

Continue folding the washi over on the folds and roll it into the piece under your thumb, as you do so, to create the petals. The closer to the center, the closer the folds were be together, the further from the center, the more space there will be between them.

I finished folding and rolling and stuck it all down using a sticky glue dot, but you can also use hot glue if you choose.
If this is method is too fiddly for you, just adhere the washi tape as shown above, with one exception: Leave a small sticky strip on the washi tape at the bottom. Approximately 2-3mm.

Then roll the  washi tape in a tight roll, using the thin sticky strip to keep it together. Pinch the bottom as you roll and loosen up the top once finished rolling. Again, secure at the bottom, using a glue dot.

Adhere your flower to the layout.
Cut your journaling words and adhere with double sided foam.
You are done. I hope you have learnt some fun techniques that you are willing to try yourself.
Till next time, have a happy scrappy time. xxx
Cheers Anguree
